Managed 30 minutes running today without ‘pain’ as such. Soreness yes, but pain, I'm saying no. Other than an even shorter run yesterday, it was my first outing since pain kicked in after 24km last weekend.
Saw the physio on Tuesday; she suggested perhaps I'd extended myself a little too quickly after the initial injury. Bad timing on my part as in the two weeks before that I'd been getting back into a really good stride. Here are a few of the times I managed:
1 Feb: 10km 46:30
4 Feb: 12km 58mins
7 Feb: 20km 1:42:12
9 Feb: 10km 45mins
13 Feb: 24km 2:05 – bang!
Not sure where this puts me back to. A marathon in Rotorua beginning of May seems far-fetched. Maybe Wellington end of June?
